A very warm morning good lift until 10.30 when the wind
went south, we went to Minchinhampton Common and flew electric and
HLG Pete launching for Andy Miller who is on a visit from Spain |

My Yak 55 bought at the Woodspring show Saturday and flown
Sunday,
lots of side area for knife edging, easy to prop hang, but being heavier
it uses more power than my Protech Laser and is not quite so nice to fly |

16th July at Rodborough
We started at Rodborough, then to Selsley, no slope lift was found there, but a few thermals got us in the air for while. Back to Rodborough where there was no slope lift but some good thermals. Peter's 134 Eliminator went well out flying all the other models left, Mike launching, catching and dropping his Alula (thumb feather) light weight SAL flying wing and Peter's Eliminator on a low level pass |

16th July on Minchinhampton Common Ken's home brew retro style slow fly, all balsa with tissue covering, climbs 2 feet a minute, top speed 10mph in a dive with the power on |

A different Ken and a different model, a multiplex fun jet, powered by a ducted fan brushless motor driving a pusher prop, this was drawing 35 amps from a 2200ma 3 cell li-poly pack with 5 X 5 and now has 6 X 5, ballistic vertical performance and glides well with the motor off | |
