Wednesday at Selsley plenty of lift until mid afternoon when the wind went
south west. Andy looked in trouble with his ASH26 very low, but recovered
it and landed on the top. I failed to find lift on one flight and had to
land down wind on the slope. Alan Ester flew his K8 spinning it to loose height, I arrived a little late and missed most of the flying, a total of 12 fliers Photos

Sunday 27th Ken's model at sunset. Later as the sun went down, Ken's home made twin diesel had a successful flight, running cool this time with a slight increase in clearances |

but click

CB flew the Robotbirds model, enough power for normal flight but not
for CB's extreme aerobatics |

A cold start with a fresh breeze and turning into a gorgeous spring like
day with a light breeze. A good turnout

Thursday 24th at Selsley A good day with strong lift but the fresh breeze made it feel very cold especially for Dave whose hat blew off. Andy was happy with his recently purchased ASH26 two good flights and safe landings. photos

Wednesday 23rd at Frocester. Plenty of lift and a good turn out, Dave flew one of his old pylon racers to test his new 2,4Gig gear. Alan's Phase5 liked the conditions. There were couple landings well down the slope, the wind had swung a little to the south giving strong sink on the landing slope. Photos Dave and Alan's models |

Saturday 19th at Chosen Hill school
A good turnout 18 fliers who paid. Brian flew his wing but damaged it, Richard hit the wall with his Cessna loosening the motor. CB wrecked one Bi-plane, the other flew well; I flew it for a short while very precise, unlike my models that bend and twist Photos

Wednesday 16th at Selsley very warm for January and just a fickle breeze
with a surprising amount of lift. Dave Marlow flew his homebrew floater and his Highlight, both suffered radio problems with his 2.4 Gig Htz gear. I test flew my Multiplex Hotliner, although it flew OK thermaling at one time I did not like it due to the high wing loading and hit the ground hard breaking a tail plane bolt. Guy had a good time with his Highlight in conditions that were perfect for it. Other photos Alan's pics of my Calypso trying to pose for the camera, |
