3rd August at Selsley, perfect weather but  the air was a little lumpy, keeping the paragliders on the ground.

Chris Bishop's VTOL Foamy at Minchinhampton Saturday evening, 4 ailerons, 2 rudders and 2 elevators, Brushless and li-poly gives the models sparkling performance and the shape makes for easy hovering; it is very difficult to to see which way up it is. Right aileron is mixed to left top rudder and bottom right rudder, elevon mix for ailerons

20th August the Scale and PSS comp at Frocester.

Good lift for the scale models, the PSS could have done with a little more. Photos  Peter launching Brian's DG550  My Nyx coming out of the paraglider's bowl, a bit close, knees bent and leaning back

Steve Drake also markets a lighter version  for pylon racing

A great day, some sun and a stiff breeze giving awesome lift at times, although with the wind on the point it was a little lumpy in the bowl. The breeze kept the paragliders away, a lone hang glider flew from the north slope starting well but struggled to penetrate forward to the point and into the good lift.. My Nyx was able to carry 2/3 ballast and went very fast- a little scary at times.
