At the last meeting (Feb 3rd) we went to see Peter Watson at Retro and
had a look round his workshops where his team restores Merlin and
Griffin aircraft engines and historic racing cars. The Photo shows Ron and Tony looking at a Merlin Engine. The engines use superchargers, boosting the manifold pressure by 18 PSI giving the 27 litre V12 an output of 2,500 HP |
